Beautiful hand-hewed log cabin on edge of Great Smoky Mountain National Park
Three Little Birds opened its doors to guests in October, 2012. Everything in the home is brand new! Impeccably clean and extraordinarily equipped. This luxury cabin is in a tranquil setting offering the comforts of home yet the escape from everyday life.
This spacious and handcrafted cabin is nestled in a wooded setting less than 5 minutes away from the Cosby entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and an easy 25 minute drive to Gatlinburg (no hills or windy roads). The cabin is 15 minutes away from whitewater rafting and ziplining. Ideal for families and couples who want to hike in the National Park or enjoy the area's activities. Spend your days doing nothing or filling them with adventure.
Three Little Birds sleeps 6-8 people comfortably with 2 bedrooms (king and queen), a large loft with 2 twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa. The romantic master suite has a beautiful king-sized log bed, a handcrafted gas log fireplace, flat screen TV, and a large master bath with a jetted tub. The second bedroom has a unique queen log bed and flat screen TV. The upstairs loft has a twin trundle bed, a game table, a flat screen TV and an Xbox 360 with Kinect.
The home has an open floor plan with plenty of entertainment space. The living room is equipped with a 55' HDTV, surround system (which also plays on the back patio and hot tub), and a stacked stone woodburning fireplace. Also enjoy cooking a gourmet meal or a quick snack in the well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, a convection oven, and plenty of cooking equipment. The perfect room for entertaining or relaxing.
Outside enjoy 2 beautiful covered porches with rockers, swings and ceiling fans. The private back patio is completely screened with a beautiful hot tub. Soak your worries away, read a book, or enjoy the sounds of nature. There is also an outdoor firepit to take the chill out of the night or cook up a smore.
For families, the cabin is equipped with the goals of never hearing the words 'I'm bored' or 'why is this car packed to the roof'. The cabin has a bouncy seat, brand-new Pack and Play with sheets, Kelty baby carrier perfect for day hikes, and plenty of plasticware in the kitchen. Within the house, you'll find many board games, a game table, and an Xbox 360 with Kinect to keep everyone entertained. You couldn't possibly be bored even on a rainy day.
Hikers will envy the 2-car attached garage. You'll find a place for everything and everything in its place. We have charging stations for your walkie talkies and GPS, places to hang your poles and backpacks, and boot scrubbers to take the best care of your equipment. You'll find it easy to enjoy the National Park and return to the comforts of home. Also provided are river tubes, inflatable boats, and plenty of yard toys.
Lastly, if you can't leave work behind or just need a change to your remote setting, Three Little Birds has a unique set up. The home has high-speed internet, WIFI access anywhere - outside or inside, and a small private office with 2 desks just off the loft area upstairs.
Although we love pets, we are a no pet cabin.

Fantastic Spring Break
My family stayed in this wonderful cabin during our spring break. Everything was better than advertised. It was clean when we arrived even though we made our plans last minute. Firewood in the fireplace, charcoal in the grill, hot tub ready and waiting. The cabin's location is ideal. There are places to get food, drink, and groceries in 10 - 15 minute. An entrance to the park is about one mile from the door. We hiked from the Greenbrier area it was beautiful. We spent a day at the Biltmore (a little over an hour away). We also visited Cades Cove and hiked out to Abrams Falls. Overall rating is 5 of 5 stars (posted on VRBO)

Great family/friends cabin
We returned today from our stay and cannot say enough of how well we were taken care of during our stay at Three Little Birds. The cabin is immaculate and better stocked than the listing even claims (which is impressive!). It's not entirely secluded, the cabin is located in a wooded area with a few neighboring cabins and a main road a short distance aways. We could slightly overhear cars when we were outside, but we couldn't see them. The owners are easily reachable, we had one question upon arrive and they had a neighbor/caretaker over in minutes. Between the screened in porches, rain protected grill area, hot tub and board games we passed a couple rainy days quite easily. We traveled with a 1 year old and it was the easiest trip we've taken! Quite literally we packed his clothes, diapers and favorite books. The rest of was there.... a brand new Graco pack n' play with sheets, a space saver high chair/booster seat, toy cars, sippy cups, hooded towels. Not a detail overlooked, it's clear the owners have vacation with young kids. The screen doors on have hook latches from inside the house and on the porches exit doors, so no matter where we were he was secure. A house binder is filled with thoughtful details and the owners' personal experiences on hikes, restaurants and activities, we referenced it more than we did Google or Yelp and were not led astray. A like-new REI hiking carrier back pack is there as well. As first time hikers we had no problem securing our son and heading out on the trails. If you are considering this cabin, rest assured you're making a good decision. Thank you! (posted on VRBO)

This is my second time staying at this cabin. My family and I love it! It feels like home. The owners have added so many personal touches to make your stay comfortable. It snowed the entire weekend we were there which was icing on the cake! Will be back soon.

Beautiful Retreat
Spent Christmas 2012 at Three Little Birds and absolutely loved it. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The owners have gone to great thought and time invested in making sure you have everything you may need. They are also very kind, helpful, and quick to return emails or calls. Close to the Cosby entrance of the GSM park. Easy access to I-40 without the traffic congestion of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Highly recommend this lovely cabin and it's very hospitable owners.

Feedback A+
We had a great experience. We have rented a lot of places, and no owners have taken the care that you have to provide such great recommendations and to make things so easy. We didn’t have to do any research. We just arrived, looked at your binders, and knew what we wanted to do. Your home is lovely. Everything was spotless. The décor is cozy. The kitchen was well equipped – we made one trip to the grocery store and ate all of our meals in the cabin. We appreciated the welcome basket – such a nice touch. All of the instructions for the equipment (TV, fireplace, etc) were helpful. The kids enjoyed Battleship, the DVDs and, especially, playing hockey. We caught a couple of trout in the creek – one rainbow trout and one brook trout. He was thrilled. Next time he wants to fish at Big Creek. We had a picnic near the creek before hiking to Midnight Hole and the waterfall just beyond. We definitely plan to come back. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. We didn’t rock on the porch nearly enough, or sit in the hot tub. Thank you, thank you for a lovely retreat. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely recommend Three Little Birds to our friends.

Peace and Tranquility at Three Little Birds
This fabulous cabin in the Smoky Mountains exceeded all our expectations. It was immaculate, well supplied, and easily accessible. We loved the hot tub, the fire pit, and the fireplace. The furniture was comfortable - especially the mattresses. Both porches were enjoyed by these two retired couples. The cabin was so wonderful we hung around there more than venturing into the park. Patty and Chris have spent hours preparing wonderful folders of information that are highly useful regarding restaurants and things to do. Three Little Birds was the perfect place to spend four beautiful autumn days.

Fantastic and Peaceful
This place is absolutely wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is decorated just like a picture from Southern Living. The master bath and bedroom are a perfectly romantic place. My favorite place was the front porch on the swing perfect to read a book or just watch the world go by! It is super.nice to end the day relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin is well-maintained and very clean. It is stocked with all kinds of extras you don't find in most rental places. Just hanging out on a rainy day and listening to the rain on the roof was nice! If you want to leave your worries behind and spend some quiet time in the outdoors this is the place to go. We went to the national park and hiked on the trails and hung out in the stream.even got to see a few bears ... We also spent time doing" touristy "in Gatlinburg but liked best just hanging at the cabin! I can not wait to return to this perfect cabin.

Get away from it all in style
I brought my children down from the Chicago area for an extended weekend. The cabin is wonderful; there really wasn't anything they didn't think to supply, and everything is top-notch. The local area is beautiful and quiet, and there are neighbors in case you feel too isolated. There is a brand new hot tub, in an enclosure that keeps the bugs out! We followed the included directions to the grocery store for supplies, and we were all set. I think location-wise it was perfect, in that it was close to some of the more tourist-y areas like Gatlinburg, but not so close that you saw or heard any of the associated traffic. One of the most amazing things about the trip I remember is how clear the sky was at night and how many stars could be seen. We happened to visit when there were meteor showers and it was quite a display. The kids (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the balance of nature-oriented fun, and touristy destinations. In all, I highly recommend the cabin and the location, and hope to visit this same cabin again in the Spring. Last bit-there is a neighbor who lives close by who agreed to assist renters, so that if there is anything the owners haven't included, the neighbor was always close at hand.
